Senior Meals

The Senior Meal Service provides a hot, nutritious lunch meal to senior citizens four days per week to supplement their nutritional needs.

Meals are served in a congregate setting (transportation provided upon request -- limited area) or home-delivered for homebound clients.  Social events are provided periodically throughout the year for congregate clients.  Regular contact with Agency staff provides opportunity for monitoring general health and wellness status of those served.

Priority is given to those age 60 and over; however, certain disabled and homebound individuals may be served regardless of age.

The following items are required to verify eligibility:

  • Verification of Social Security Numbers (cards) for all household members
  • Verification of all income coming into the household (all members age 18 or older) for the past 30 days
  • Verification of the need for the service (nutritional status, ability to prepare meals, etc.)
  • Additional items as requested

Available in the following counties: Colquitt & Miller
