Southwest Georgia Community Action Council is the private, non-profit community action agency in Southwest Georgia that provides social services funded through the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) in 14 counties, Head Start/Early Head Start child development services funded through the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) in 18 counties, and home weatherization services funded through Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) in 16 counties.  The Agency also provides numerous other community services funded through a variety of funding sources including public and private grants, donations, and fund-raisers.  All services support the mission of the Agency and are targeted at helping low-income families improve their level of self-sufficiency.  Continue browsing this site to find out more!
