  • Responsibilities Assists with general service maintenance on school buses that may be diesel or gas engines with automatic transmissions mounted on a truck type chassis. Assists with replacement of parts on buses including steering mechanisms, brake systems, electrical system parts, compressed air components, tires, and interior components. Cleans and maintains safe work area, hand, and power tools. Repairs and overhauls automobiles, buses, trucks, and other automotive vehicles. Substitutes as bus driver when necessary.
  • Requirements High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge in diesel and gas engines. Must have valid drivers’ license. Within 6 months, must obtain Class B Commercial Driver’s license with P&S and Air Brake endorsements. Position is subject to pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion alcohol and controlled substances testing as a condition of initial and continued employment.
